History of PAMCA

Incorporated in 1961, PAMCA is charged with developing and improving the Plumbing, Heating, Piping, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and related trades.  PAMCA has successfully represented management in its collaborations with the Plumbers Union and other mechanical trades, to ensure the uniformity of action among the industry. Over the past four decades, PAMCA in Hawaii has worked to:
  • Sponsor the use of modern, safe, and economical mechanical and plumbing work.
  • Conduct educational and public relations programs, and promotional activities for the benefit of members and the community.
  • Engage in the support of a strong apprenticeship program.
  • Enter into negotiations with labor for the benefit of members of the corporation, while striving to maintain stability in the industry.
  • Conduct programs to improve employer-employee relations, as well as employer-union  relations.
  • Do all that is necessary to promote the development and improvement of the mechanical and plumbing trades.
